This very rare BMW e31 was an ultra low factory production model, fully loaded with the ultra-smooth and rare 5.4 liter, 322 hp V12 engine and the equally rare
5 speed Steptronic automatic transmission that can also be shifted manually when you happen to be in the ultimate driving machine sport performance mood.
The 850ci is well known to be far superior when compared to the many earlier
5.0 Liter BMW 850i models that were only fitted with the 4 speed automatic
The car is completely stock with the exception of the set of low profile 18” M Parallel Wheels that are pictured. Also includes Brand New tires.
The top speed is 155 mph right from the factory with no modification but still gets a reasonably economical 20 MPG highway when cruising at 65 mph.
Only rarely will you ever actually see a BMW 850ci on the street anywhere in the entire USA. So in addition to how much fun the 850ci is to drive, this is one of those special exotic sports cars that, because of it’s rarity, always gets a lot of attention via looks, questions, and admiring comments wherever you happen to go. And it is rated by BMW for an expected 500,000 miles before need of an overhaul. And from 1998 to this present day the BMW V-12 engine has also powered the Rolls-Royce which BMW completed the purchase of and now owns the Rolls-Royce Co. as of January 1, 2003.
